Cranleight Ladies Hockey Club
Cranleigh Ladies Hockey Club (CLHC) was started in 1976 by three friends who were frustrated by the lack of facilities and the less flexible views the bigger clubs took to young, working mothers.
Over the years CLHC has developed considerably, but the goal of the club has remained – to encourage all those who want to play hockey to come along and join in.
We now run two ladies teams, who both play in the Surrey Ladies Hockey League. Our home matches are played on the excellent astro-turf at Cranleigh School, and we enjoy after-match teas at the Cranley Hotel. We are a friendly, family club, and hockey is a great way to get fit, meet new friends and get some much needed fresh air after a week in the office!
Training sessions take place every Wednesday evening from 7.15 to 8.45pm also on the astro-turf at Cranleigh School.
Come and play hockey with Cranleigh Ladies – all ages and abilities are welcome!
A number of our ladies also play mixed hockey with the Cranleigh Coqs. This team was designed for social, fun hockey, and fixtures are arranged against other local mixed teams. So if you or your other half have always wanted to play mixed hockey, now could be the time to start.
UMPIRES WANTED!
CLHC is always on the lookout for new umpires. If you are an umpire, or would like to start umpiring we would love to meet you. Please contact us or telephone Tricia on 07971 478 981
